Plans for the shoot-

Today I am going to take photographs of movement outside. I will take photos of things that are moving naturally and I will also take photographs of still things making them move myself. I am doing this because I think it will give me more opportunities for good photos also I would like the difference between the two. I am going to take movement photos of things that are very colourful because I think that the colours would blend together making the photo look unique.

What I hope to achieve-

In this shoot I hope to achieve showing naturally beautiful movements that are colourful and full of life. Also I would like to take advantage of the natural light, which may change the way the photographs look compared to the photos I have taken in the studio.

What I actually achieved-

I did achieve taking photographs of things that are colourful. However I also took pictures of things that are quite dark because then the colour that is actually in the photo is highlighted, I think this looks nice because It defines the movement from the colour. I took lots of movement outside and I think that they look nice.

What I am going to do next-

The next developmental shoot I will do I am hoping to try something new by taking photos of still someone who has moved in small ways that when all the photos are together create on movement photo.

Plans for the shoot-

Today I am going to shoot movement in the studio using some people from my class. The idea of this shoot is to show movement in different ways with only one person. I want to photos to reflect how people may be like on the inside that is why I’ve chosen one person and for it to be inside with a black background. I am going to focus on the face and top half of the body because I think the movement would look better on the face.

What I hope to achieve-

In this shoot I hope that my photos show different emotions and that you can tell the difference in emotions with the blurry movement. I would also like to take photographs that do not show the face to well, that are all blur so that you can see the movement really well. I would like a variation in the movement from elegant to sharp. I would love it if all of this is shown in my photographs.

What I actually achieved-

In this shoot I achieved showing emotion movement well because in the photos you can see laughing, anger and scared, I think this is good because I wanted to show some emotion in the movement. Also, I achieved some really nice photographs that just show movement this is good because I didn’t want emotion to become the main focus of the shoot so taking some movement keeps movement as my basis.

What am I going to do next-

Next I would like to take photographs of movement outside because I think that the colours and lighting would be really nice to photographs.

Idea’s for next shoot

 

 

 

I like the idea of these photographs were the main focus i.e. the teddy is not in motion but the rest of the picture is in movement. I would like to do a shoot like this because I think that it would be difficult and interesting to try. It would also show movement, which is my basis of the shoot, really nicely because of the contrast from still and moving. I would use some of the ideas from these photographs because I find these photos are great for what I want to show. Also taking a shoot in this style would be different to my other developmental shoots which is good.

Plans for the shoot-

I am going to shoot movement again in the studio for movement, however this time I am going to show movement through dance. I am going to do this because I think that movement would look nice through dance. I am going to take photo’s of my friend doing ballet.

What I hope to achieve-

I hope to of taken photographs that show movement. I would like there to be  variation of fast, soft, dramatic and big movements in my photographs because then I would have a bigger variety of photographs that show movement. I would like the studio to help further my ideas for movement and change them for the better.

Colour photographs

I love this photograph that I had taken when looking at the formal element of colour. I like this photo because there are the different shades of green and the colour of the blue sky. I think by taking the photo looking up onto the leaves was good because you get a different colour of the sky where as if I had taken it straight on into the bush then there would only be green colours and there wouldn’t be any variation. I am happy with this photo because I think it shows colour clearly.
